The two day oil painting courses for beginners and improvers held in each year since 2011 are very popular. I am holding more of these once the current restrictions on travel and social distancing are lifted.. Contact me now if you want to be included in future workshops. I will be recommencing workshops in late Spring 2022, providing Covid guidelines allow.
I have also been asked to run another still life and interiors and a painting in the garden workshop in the next couple of months. Contact me if you have an interest in attending such a course.

Painting at the Rectory
An Oil painting master-class 2 day studio based course ideal for those with some previous experience who now want to explore oil painting techniques in more depth.
Due to popular demand Jacinta Crowley-Long is once again facilitating a painting workshops at her home as soon as is possible under the current restrictions. Jacinta is a well known local, national and international artist. She has been painting full time and exhibiting for over twenty years and has many solo shows in Ireland and has participated in group shows in Wales, Christies London, The Mall Gallery, London and in the Salon de la'Rochelle, France.
Your classes are held at Aghold Rectory on the Carlow – Wicklow border. The Rectory, built in 1703 is surrounded by gardens, fields and beautiful countryside, plenty of inspiration for everyone.
The course is held over two days, Saturday and Sunday, beginning at 10.30am until 5 pm. Tea or coffee will be served before you start and lunch will be served at 1 pm. Lunch will consist of soup, a light main course and dessert, made where possible from locally sourced organic ingredients and produce from the Rectory garden. Afternoon tea will also be served. The total cost for two days is € 200. Students will complete at least three paintings and will receive a full set of course notes.
A list of materials required and other information, including local Bed and Breakfast accommodation (if required), will be sent with the booking receipt.
